A luthier workshop where handcrafted instruments take shape
A small luthier workshop dedicated to handcrafted banjos, mandolins and custom string instruments, built one by one with focus on sound, feel and detail.
Every instrument at Coall Instruments begins as carefully selected tonewood and gradually takes form through a process of shaping, carving and refinement. In this workshop, handmade banjos, mandolins and custom instruments are built one by one, with attention to resonance, playability, structure and long-term musical value.
The workshop reflects the philosophy of Coall Instruments — no shortcuts, no rush, and no repetition without purpose. Each handcrafted banjo, mandolin or custom instrument carries the marks of its making, shaped through experience, traditional techniques and a modern understanding of sound, comfort and playability.
Wood, structure and response.
The workshop process begins with materials, but it always leads toward sound. Tonewoods, shaping, construction details and final setup all contribute to the way an instrument responds in the player’s hands.
No serial production, no anonymous pieces.
Coall Instruments focuses on individually built banjos, mandolins and custom instruments rather than mass production. The result is a workshop approach where every instrument is treated as its own musical object.
