Coall Instruments does not operate as a traditional online shop. Every banjo, mandolin or custom instrument is created through direct communication with the player. The process begins with your idea and develops step by step into a finished instrument shaped around your sound, preferences and playing style.
Three ways to begin your instrument.
Choose a model
Select one of the existing banjo or mandolin models and keep it close to its original concept. This is the most direct path to a finished instrument.
Customise a model
Start with a selected model and adapt it through custom options — tonewoods, neck profile, inlays, binding, headstock shape or finishing details.
Full custom build
Begin with your own idea and develop a completely individual instrument from the ground up, both visually and structurally.
How your instrument is created.
First contact
You send a message describing your idea, selected model or general direction. Even a simple outline is enough to start the conversation.
Specification
Together we define the key aspects of the instrument — materials, construction, custom options and overall character.
Build
The instrument is handcrafted step by step in the workshop, with focus on sound, playability and detail.
Completion
Final setup, finishing touches and preparation for delivery of an instrument built for long-term musical use.
Tell us about your idea.
When contacting Coall Instruments, you can include:
- Preferred instrument (banjo, mandolin, custom)
- Specific model (if applicable)
- Custom options or visual ideas
- Sound and playing preferences
- Any references or inspiration
You don’t need a finished idea.
The process can start with just a rough concept. Through communication, the instrument takes shape step by step — both technically and visually.
